The Last Few Weeks

Zach on 5/27/16
We're all doing well. Zach is taking well to solid foods and starting to sleep longer at night. He remains obsessed with tummy time. He's always "working out" and enjoys a little help to stay standing up and look around. The latest words to evoke smiles and laughs are "Mama" and "Dada." The routine alters slightly constantly, and it's getting hot and stormy, so our nightly walks are a little less easy to come by, but we're adapting.

On Memorial Day weekend, we went to Charlottesville for a family wedding. Zach met so much family for the first time since we missed 2015's holiday gatherings. Sam, Julia, and Zahra also met Zach for the first time! Interestingly, Francisco did not bring the entire family, but told us that Gabe - at four months - is 16 pounds, Zachis 16 pounds at 6 months, and Zahra is 16 pounds at almost 1 year.

Mom and Dad came over and took Zach to Woodstock on Sunday night so that Frank and I a "date night" for the wedding. I also got out on Sunday morning, and tried out Shark Mountain Coffee and explored the art park next door. So much fun!

For the final event of the weekend, we took Zach to Mom and Dad's neighborhood Memorial Day picnic. A great weekend, but exhausting!
