Kettle Moraine State Forest - Lapham Peak

On Saturday, we headed out for an out-and-back day of skiing. Lapham Peak is one of our closest ski areas and one of my favorites. I love the downhill fun of "The Big Slide" and "The Magic Carpet," in particular, but after all the great descents, you have to go back up, and with hills called "The Wall," you can imagine it's pretty tough! After a total of 9 miles around two loops (black/blue & purple), we headed to lunch at the Delafield Brewhaus, which hit the spot, and then back to Chicago for a nap and cozy night at home!
